Ornaith O'Dowd
Visiting Assistant Professor

Ornaith O'Dowd has a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the National University of Ireland, Galway (1998), an M.A. in Philosophy from the National University of Ireland, Galway (2000), and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the City University of New York (2011). She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the City University of New York (2011). Her research interests are in ethics (especially Kantian and feminist approaches), social and political philosophy, and feminist philosophy. Her teaching interests include, in addition, philosophy of race and applied ethics (especially business ethics and ethics in personal relations).
